Jury Nullification Explained

In Assorted Misc. by ThisDummy0 Comments

For a lot of people, particularly people with stuff to do, jury duty is an irksome civic time suck.  Contrary to what you know from years of John Grisham adaptations and David E. Kelley dramedies, courtrooms are not exciting places where lawyers charm you with quippy rejoinders before delivering powerhouse closing statements.  Courtrooms are stale chambers of procedure where your boredom develops superpowers and nothing is resolved in an hour.

This video from the people over at CGP Grey doesn’t change that, but it does offer a pretty interesting look at an inherent loophole in the criminal justice system known as jury nullification.
